Joyce Driver

Community Referral Coordinator

Joyce has been with the IHN since June 2014 and currently works in the Emergency Department at SSM St. Mary’s Health Center.  She graduated with a B.A. in Sociology/Social Science from Webster University and completed a Community Research Fellowship at Washington University School of Public Health.  Joyce has particular expertise in community health disparities and health literacy of underserved communities, as well as pediatric asthma and family asthma education.  She is certified by the National Environmental Health Association as a Healthy Homes Specialist.  Joyce serves on the St. Louis Asthma Surge Committee and represents the IHN on the Gateway to Better Health Outreach Subcommittee.  She is active in the community through her Community Research Fellows Cohort I and the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America. When asked why she is glad to be a part of the IHN, Joyce states, “It is truly an honor to be a part of the IHN and the work that is being done. I strongly believe in our mission to work with the underinsured population. I have enjoyed working in both the public and non-profit sectors focusing on health issues for years."
