About Amanda Stoermer, MSW
Amanda started with the IHN in February 2012 and is the Chief of Staff and VP of Health Equity & Culture. Prior to her current role, Amanda was the Outcomes and Information Manager and before that, the Community Referral Coordinator at Barnes Jewish Hospital for three years. She has a B.A. in Spanish and Sociology from DePauw University and a Masters in Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis. Amanda’s expertise is in program evaluation, quality assurance, and legislative advocacy and her interests lie in issues of incarceration and coalition building. She sits on the Economic Impact Analysis Committee, Transitions of Care Task Force, the Institute for Medical Education and Research Elective Steering Committee, and the Gateway to Better Health Medical/Referral Team. Amanda is active in the community as a member of the Catholic Charities Advocacy Council, the St. Louis Chapter of the American Statistical Association, and St. Louis Teach For America Alumni. When asked why she is glad to be a part of the IHN and its commitment to excellence, Amanda shares, “Regional collaboration between various stakeholders is such a big part of the work that the IHN does and I think that is so key to success in public health initiatives. I am also proud of the work that my colleagues and I are doing to help with patient navigation of the St. Louis healthcare system – it is truly important work.”
