About Clarine Esperance
Clarine started with the IHN August 2017 as a Community Referral Coordinator at BJC HealthCare Children’s Hospital – Emergency Department. She graduated with a B.A. in Psychology from Rutgers State University of New Jersey and a Master’s in Public Health from Brown School Washington University. Her expertise and interests are in women’s health and health literacy and education. She co-leads the IHN’s Community Sickle Cell Initiative and serves on the IHN Transitions of Care Task Force. In the community she is an active member of the Children’s ministry team and the Praise and Worship team at her church. She loves singing, musicals and traveling. When asked why she is glad to be a part of the IHN and its commitment to excellence, Clarine shares, “I’m glad to be part of IHN because I believe in the mission and guiding principles. By being patient-focused the IHN is able to meet individuals right where they are and offer those who are falling through the cracks of the healthcare system the best care possible. I am excited to be a CRC because I am given the opportunity to work in the St. Louis community and enhance continuity of care and ensure individuals who come into the ED have access to preventative care!”
