About Angela Archibald-Clabon
The Chief Executive Officer of CareSTL Health Angela Clabon understands the needs of the community. Clabon was hired in 2005 as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) by then Chief Executive Officer Mr. Archie Griffin. A successful and savvy businesswoman Clabon was promoted to Chief Executive Officer in 2013.
As the leader of a Federally Qualified Health Center located in the underserved, uninsured and underinsured areas of St. Louis, Clabon believes that having compassion for the community you serve is a mandatory quality to sit in the top seat.
Clabon leads a staff of more than 200 employees who provide comprehensive medical services to nearly 22, 000 patients a year. She works diligently to ensure the health center continues to be a training ground for healthcare professionals starting their careers. Armed with 37 years of dedicated service to the St. Louis healthcare movement, Clabon has a big vision for CareSTL Health that includes new facilities, school based services and new access points.
She has also founded a foundational arm to raise money and support the capital campaigns. It is her mission to sustain and position CareSTL Health to becoming the number one provider in St. Louis while maintaining the rich history of the center which was formerly named Myrtle Hilliard Davis Comprehensive Health Centers.
A native of Saint Louis, Clabon obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Missouri. She obtained her Master’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance from Webster University.
A member of the Zeta Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc., Clabon “lives for the blue and will die for the gold!” She is passionate about being an advocate for healthcare equity for the voiceless. Clabon serves as a Board Member for Missouri Primary Care Association, Missouri Health Plus, St. Louis Integrated Health Network, St. Louis Regional Health Commission, Harris Stowe University Advisory Board, Top Ladies of Distinction-Cardinal Chapter and the Network Nine Advisory Board. Additionally, she is the Chairperson of several committees and an active member of several organizations including the NAACP, NABA and the Urban League. In her spare time, she loves to read, play basketball and spend time with her husband, James, and grandchildren.
