At IHN, we know getting ready for a new school year isnโt just about suppliesโitโs about making sure children feel supported from day one. Families, schools, organizations, and neighbors all have a role to play in helping students start the year with confidence. ๐ Back to School Sales Tax Holiday
By Missouri state law, the Back to School Sales Tax Holiday begins on the first Friday in August and runs through the following Sunday. Certain back-to-school purchasesโlike clothing, school supplies, computers, and moreโare exempt from sales tax during this weekend only.
For 2025, the Sales Tax Holiday begins at 12:01 a.m. on Friday, August 1, and runs through Sunday, August 3.
Missouri allows you to purchase:

Up to $3,500 in computers โ all tax-free
